Description

Stoke City legend Terry Conroy lifts the lid on how the great Potters side of the early 70s took on the giants of the day in epic encounters, and often won. How they almost won the league, and dazzled Europe; and how the fans' favourite ginger winger helped win City's first major trophy at Wembley. A fabulous story of a life lived to the full.

About the author

Terry Conroy was an impish, skilful winger who starred in the Stoke City team of the 1960s and 1970s which played a wonderful brand of football under manager Tony Waddington. With his trademark ginger hair, almost translucent legs and a cheeky smile, Conroy won the hearts of thousands of Stoke fans when he helped win City's first major trophy.
