About the author

Alex Crook is owner of M & Y News Agency and has been covering south coast football for the national press since 2002. He has charted Bournemouth's rise up the leagues under Eddie Howe, culminating in their Championship-winning glory in 2015. An experienced broadcaster, Alex also works as a matchday reporter and commentator for talkSPORT and Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday programme. Pat Symes is a life-long Bournemouth supporter who has been reporting on the club's highs and lows for national newspapers, radio and TV for more than 30 years. He also contributed to the fans' fund to save the club from folding in the 1990s. Pat's previously published titles include Marshall Arts, the best-selling autobiography of West Indies cricket legend Malcolm Marshall, and Tackles Like a Ferret, the autobiography of Premier League winning ex-England footballer Paul Parker.
