About the author

Paul McParlan is a member of the Football Writers' Association and a senior writer for These Football Times. His articles have appeared on The Athletic website and he has written features for When Saturday Comes and The Football Pink magazines, in addition to writing book reviews for both. He is a regular contributor to The Blue Room on Radio City and has appeared on talkSPORT and Love Sport Radio. He has been an Everton fan since the 1960s.
