Description

Immortals explores the remarkable stories of 50 great racehorse champions, focusing on horses in and beyond Europe. Written with humour, passion and solid research, this evocative book uncovers tales about legends of the jump-racing world who were trained in the UK, Ireland, France and even in the USA and Australia.

About the author

A former diplomat with the UN, the OSCE and the UK, Oli Hein has undertaken postings in Kosovo, Turkmenistan, the USA and France. His first book, Punch a Hole in the Wind, explored the stories of 50 great Flat racehorses from around the world since the dawn of film. As a regular contributor to The Chap magazine, his articles encompass a wide range of topics, with a particular focus on lesser-known characters from the past.
