About the author

Mark Biram is a Doctor of Hispanic Studies from the University of Bristol. He is the author of another book on Latin American football, Women's Club Football in Brazil and Colombia: A Critical Analysis of Players, Media and Institutions. He has spent prolonged periods in Colombia and Brazil and has been published in several influential regional and sports journals including Bulletin of Latin American Research and Soccer & Society.
