FIVE PITCH TITLES ON 2024 SPORTS BOOK AWARDS SHORTLIST

We’re delighted to announce that five of our titles have been shortlisted for awards at The Charles Tyrwhitt Sports Book Awards.

Among our shortlisted books is The Homecoming by Jane Purdon (part of our innovative Football Shorts series in partnership with Floodlit Dreams), which is in the running for the Vikki Orvice Award for Women’s Sports Writing, named in honour of the brilliant sports journalist who did so much to champion women's sports writing.

We’ve also got three titles on the shortlist for Football Book of the Year: Blue was the Colour by Andy Hamilton (another Football Shorts release), Match Fit by Johnnie Lowery and The Match by Piero Trellini. While the stunning Playing for the Shirt by Michael Clifford has been shortlisted for Illustrated Book of the Year.

Congratulations to our five authors. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for further success at the winners’ ceremony, which takes place at the Kia Oval on 6 June.
