Wonderful news as Martyn Routledge and Elspeth Wills scoop the Telegraph's Best Illustrated Book award.

Congratulations go out to Martyn and Elspeth, co-authors of The Beautiful Badge, who beat strong opposition to win their category at the Telegraph Sports Book Awards 2019.

Well done also to Mark Peel and Richard Kelley, whose nominations for Cricket Book of the Year and Best Illustrated Book confirmed Playing the Game? and Waiting among the year's most lauded sports titles.

After receiving their award at a star-studded ceremony held at Lord's, Martyn and Elspeth Tweeted: "Absolutely delighted and honoured that The Beautiful Badge was a winner (Illustrated Book of the Year) at the Telegraph Sports Book Awards 2019, alongside some absolute sporting legends.
