WORLD CUP BOOK TALK THIS MONTH

Pitch author Jon Berry will join forces with Chris Skudder (Sky Sports, ITV) and to discuss their books about the Qatar World Cup at one of Birmingham’s premier venues.

From 7pm on Thursday October 27, they’ll be at the Hare and Hounds in King’s Heath taking questions and telling tales about everything from corruption to labour abuses, to human rights, VAR and the price of a pint in Qatar.

Expect irreverence and a sideways glance at a competition that looks like having a long-lasting effect the global football business – and some silly jokes too.
