RACING POST IMPRINT MOVES TO PITCH
RACING POST IMPRINT MOVES TO PITCH
After almost 20 successful years of book publishing, from 1st November 2020, Racing Post will be commissioning Pitch Publishing to take on the key annuals, calendars and diaries, as well as one-off racing books. These will continue to be published under Racing Post and Raceform imprints and will be supported by the Racing Post newspaper.
The Racing Post online bookshop at racingpost.com will also continue to trade. It will be managed by Pitch Publishing who will continue working with the Racing Post’s expert writers and members of the publishing team.
Pitch will be producing a number of Racing Post titles for 2020 while working on new plans for 2021, so watch this space.
Mark Francis, Chief Financial Officer at Racing Post, said, "We are thrilled to be partnering with Pitch Publishing on our historic range of annual titles and horse racing books. Pitch have a great track record in sports publishing, which they have built over the past 20 years, and we know they will maintain the very high standard of publishing our readers have come to expect.
“The first titles they will publish are the 2021 Racing Post Annual, and, in time for the jumps season, Racing Post Guide to the Jumps 2020/2021 and 100 Winners: Jumpers to Follow 2020/2021. They will also be producing our ever-popular pocket diary and desk and wall calendars, all of which will feature next year's racing fixtures.”
Jane Camillin, Publisher at Pitch Publishing, added, “We are excited to be involved with Racing Post and delighted to be able to continue with some of their iconic titles to fit alongside the range of sports books we currently publish. We will be working on an exciting list of titles into 2021, and look forward to building on the imprint’s past successes.”
